was founded by Mrs. Jean Walker Rawlings in 2005.
Youth from The Fannie Lou Hamer Political Institute (Jackson, MS)
visited The Hamer Cultural & Learning Center to hear Mr. Charles
McLaurin speak about Mrs. Hamer and people from the local civil
rights movement shortly after participating in the re-dedication
ceremony of The Fannie Lou Hamer Memorial Garden.
